Wow, guys. Just, wow. I have so much to announce and so little time to do it. Okay, here goes:
First: WE HAVE A BOOK RELEASE DATE. The book that I’ve co-authored with my sister and mom, THE SOWING, will be released in weekly installments beginning July 17, 2013. I can’t wait, and I am so thrilled that we have so many talented people working on our design team already.
Second: THE SOWING now has its own official website! Check it out here. I humbly submit that it looks AWESOME, thanks in part to our amazing designer, Jonathan Powell, who we found on the web and whose art is really impressive. He did the background illustration, as well as another piece that we hope to feature soon as well. Check out his portfolio here and stay abreast of his designs on his Facebook page. Also, we’re doing a short-term promotion – if you sign up for the email list on our website NOW, you’ll receive a FREE advance reader copy of the first installment of THE SOWING! ALSO, I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to TLC Book Tours for including The Z-Axis on, not one, but TWO tours coming up this summer. I’ll have a post coming out on Friday about FEAR OF THE DARK by Trevor Baxendale, about the 5th Doctor, played in the BBC series by Peter Davison. I’ll also have a post out later in June about THE SILENT STARS GO BY by Dan Abnett, featuring the 11th Doctor, played by the estimable Matt Smith, which leads me onto Topic #3 –

I’ve never done a giveaway on my blog. (I haven’t ever really had anything to give away, before.) But this time, I get to give away a book, which means that one of my LUCKY READERS will have the opportunity to get a FREE BOOK about Doctor Who! (Does life really get any better than that, honestly?) (Can you tell I really like to use ALL CAPS when I’m not writing serious posts?) (What about parentheses? Can you tell I like those?) We were allowed to choose which book we give away, and I’ve settled on doing a giveaway of THE SILENT STARS GO BY by Matt Smith, because I think since he’s one of the newer Doctors, the book will have more contemporary appeal.
Finally, later in June, I’ll be doing a review of a book of poetry, about which more details will be forthcoming.
