I. Fire
Though you, too, consume oxygen, you are not fire
You do not burn
You do not combust
You do not spark
You do not cackle
II. Water
Though you, too, ebb and flow, you are not water
You do not rain
You do not cloud
You do not bubble
You cannot wash
III. Air
Though you, too, are invisible, you are not air
You do not gust
You do not billow
You do not storm
You do not collide
IV. Earth
Though you, too, are organic, you are not earth
You do not grow
You do not flower
You do not quake
You cannot create
What, then, shall I call you?
A vessel.
Empty.
