One thing I’ve noticed and really come to appreciate this summer is that I have a lot of really awesome friends. I have somehow managed to surround myself with an amazing variety of intelligent, driven, funny, good-looking, and positive people. I don’t know how that happened, and I’m sure I don’t deserve any credit for such an achievement, but it has made for one of the greatest six months of my life. Sure, go ahead, call me corny. Cliche. Trite. Find a new word for it in a thesaurus, if that makes you happy, but I have been pretty damn happy recently, and that without a thesaurus. (Although, Kristen provides a pretty happy alternative.) Beyond the cliche, I know happiness doesn’t sell books, so I guess I’ll have to wait until winter for some real creativity. But really, guys, you know who you are. Thanks for a fantastic spring and summer.
